This is a brief discussion of the restrictions on individual ownership of the public interest in light of what the Islamic Sharia has decided in its texts in the Noble Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet and in light of what the Sharia jurists have deduced from those texts and what they have decided in their various jurisprudential schools. It is divided into six chapters as follows:

Chapter Two: The extent to which the right of public ownership is permitted or restricted.

Chapter Three: Restricting Individual Ownership in the Public Interest.

Chapter Four: Restrictions on the Right to Own Ownership in the Public Interest.

Chapter Five: Restrictions on the Elements of Ownership in the Public Interest.

Chapter Six: Restricting the right of individual ownership at the present time.
