This is a summary of the lectures I gave on the topic of retribution and blood money in Islamic law in the subject (comparative jurisprudence) to be taught to masters students in the Department of Islamic Studies at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Sana'a, and I saw it useful to bring it out to the people in a book that is what is in the hands of the reader hoping for that. Familiarizing people with the provisions and rules that the Islamic Shari'a brought about regarding assault on oneself and other than oneself - meaning murders, wounds and cutting off limbs - and which these rules and provisions would eliminate this type of abuse or at least reduce it to a very small extent, and these provisions have actually been achieved. Legitimacy, and man-made laws never informed him, neither in the past nor in the present, in any country in which these laws were applied, so I hope that through this simple and humble work I have contributed with those working in the service of Islamic law by explaining its provisions and their meanings, and that this is therefore an incentive for the rulers of affairs in Islamic countries to work To apply these provisions – namely The rulings of their religion and the religion of their subjects - including the provisions of retribution and blood money, which are applied in all Muslim countries and are not limited to only a few of them. I ask Allah to help me always to serve his Sharia by explaining its provisions and their meanings and inviting people to act according to them .

Research methodology and its divisions

The approach that I followed in discussing the vocabulary of the topic (retribution and blood money) is to refer to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger and what the Islamic Sharia jurists said and devised and worked diligently in the light of the meanings of the book and the Sunnah and the evidence and sources it guided, so Allah rewarded them with the best reward.
