Abstract

All praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon prophet Mohammad his family and his companions.

The topic of the thesis is Abdul Karim Zaidan and his contemporary Jurisprudential selections, it is an important study because it combines Dr Zidan's opinions - May Allah be merciful to him - about contemporary Jurisprudential issues, mentioning the evidences upon which he tackled the issues, gathering scholars opinions about the issues lesides it compares between them, mentioning the resolutions of the Islamic Fiqh council.

The Thesis consists of preface and three chapters, the preface included a detailed biography of Abdul Karim Zaidan -May Allah be merciful to him.

The first chapter discussed Dr Zaidan’s selections of rules of purification, prayer, Zakat and fasting.

The second chapter discussed Dr Zaidan contemporary selections of rules of slaughtering, hunting, food and beverage and medical issues.

The third chapter discussed his contemporary selections of rules of personal affairs, transactions and Jurisprudential policy.

The Thesis has reached many conclusions, most important is the scientific status of Dr Zaidan which that he grew up in a house of science and devout. And being part of issuing many " Fatwa " on many controversial issues in different Fiqh sections.

The study has recommended the following:

First: Calling upon scholars on completion, assembly and study of Dr Zaidan selections in all Islamic Fiqh sections.

Second: calling upon scholars researchers on studying contemporary issues, because they have a significant direct impact on the community.
