The Legal Ruling On Endowment And Donation To Islamic University

Question:  Question: What is the legal ruling on endowment, donation to the Alayman University?

Answer:  It is permissible to endow the University of Alayman , as well as donations and gifts to spend on the requirements of the work of this university. The works of this university are acts of righteousness and goodness, and then it deserves the endowment on it, as well as donations and gifts to it, and in the honorable hadith that the Messenger of Allah  ﷺ  said: (Use your property, your persons and your tongues in striving with the polytheists), It is known that preparing preachers and educating individuals who desire to seek Islamic knowledge and preparing them to spread Islam and defend Islam and repel the falsehoods of its enemies by teaching it, all of this is considered an act of righteousness and jihad in the way of Allah, and this is what the Iman University does, and therefore it is suitable to be one of the Zakat Channels.
