Ruling On Performing The Evening Prayer On Time In Sweden
Ruling On Performing The Evening Prayer On Time In Sweden The Question: We Muslims in Sweden ask about the ruling on performing the evening prayer on time, which is approximately two hours between the time of Fajr. Answer: We say, Allah bless you: It is proven in the authentic hadith that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prayed in Madinah the noon and afternoon prayers, as well as Maghrib and Isha without fear or rain, and in a narration or travel, It was said to Ibn Abbas: What did the Prophet ﷺ want with this combination? He said he wanted not to embarrass his nation. In an explanation of Sahih Muslim by Imam Al-Nawawi, Imam Al-Nawawi said, and a group of imams went to the permissibility of combining Zuhr and Asr and between Maghrib and Isha in the city and for the need of those who do not take it, i.e. The combination is a habit for him. And based on what we mentioned above, it seems to me, and Allah knows best, that it is permissible to combine Maghrib and Isha in order to ward off embarrassment and hardship resulting from the proximity of the time for the evening prayer with the time for the Fajr prayer, as stated in the question. Almighty (يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ بِكُمُ الْيُسْرَ وَلَا يُرِيدُ بِكُمُ الْعُسْرَ) (Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship). Note that it is permissible for someone who wants to commit to performing the Isha prayer on time without combining it with the Maghrib prayer. This is a permissible matter, provided that he does not bear a great hardship that causes harm to him and his knowledge, because the harm is not permitted, and it is not permissible for a Muslim to engage in what causes him great harm with the existence of a license to ward off harm from himself.
