The scientific symposium tagged "Advocacy, Jurisprudence and Fundamentalism Efforts of Imam Abdul Karim Zidan, may God have mercy on him "

In an effort to give legal and cognitive symbols some of their right to define and demonstrate their advocacy and epistemological achievements, the Iraqi Fiqh Academy of Senior Scholars for Advocacy and Fatwa initiated a specialized scientific symposium entitled (Advocacy, Jurisprudence and Fundamentalism Efforts of Imam Abdul Karim Zaidan) , this came in cooperation with the College of the Great Imam of the University.

The activities of the symposium were launched on Monday morning, corresponding to 2 Jumada Al-Awwal 1435 AH corresponding to 3/3/2014 AD at the hall of Muhammad bin Al-Hassan Al-Shaibani in the college hall, and after a verse from the Holy Quran, the Dean of the College of the Great Imam of the University Dr. Siddiq Khalil spoke about the seminar expressing the college’s intention to hold specialized seminars She nurtures scholars and knows the present generations of their achievements and efforts in calling to God.

Then Sheikh Dr. Abdul-Sattar Abdul-Jabbar, a member of the High Commission of the Iraqi Fiqh Academy, gave the assembly's speech and spoke about the necessity of creating legal symbols in the nation because they are a safety valve for societies from deviation and loss.

He emphasized that the destiny of the end of time is for people to lose their scholars, but the duty of those concerned about the ummah is to meet this fate with a charitable measure, which is to compensate the former with generations of comers, so that the advocacy and legal class does not become confused as a result of this matter.

Symposium themes

The research paper presented by Sati al-Mashhadani, a close student of Imam Abd al-Karim Zidan, included five axes on the efforts of the deceased in Yemen, and the most important of what was mentioned in it:

1) Active participation in establishing Al-Iman University, as it was established in 1994 and was one of its main pillars and participated in developing plans, curricula and following up the scientific program of this young university. His accumulated experience in the field of education and teaching in Iraq, in addition to his experience in establishing the College of Islamic Studies in the 1960s The last century, distinguished ideas and useful programs to raise the scientific and knowledge level of students.

2) Teaching and scientific supervision, and what distinguished Imam Zaidan was his frequent supervision of scientific dissertations and graduation projects, until it reached hundreds, and he was known for his keen interest in teaching researchers the fundamentals of the scientific method and the care in transmitting texts.

3) Participation in international forums, including his participation in the Islamic Fiqh Week in Saudi Arabia in the early seventies and his counterpart in Qatar in 1995-1996. He was also chosen as a member of the jury of the Said bin Hayel competition for science and literature in 1998 .

4) Daily fatwas, and this matter is what he has needed throughout his life, as he has allocated a suite in his home for each visitor or student of knowledge, as well as a phone dedicated to receiving these fatwas and answering them directly.

5) Consultations, and it should be noted that the deceased used to pay special attention to the issues of the Islamic world and express his opinion on that with accuracy and clarity, and people have read his fatwa on the necessity of electoral participation and the assumption of the best of the people in government jobs and other matters related to the conditions of the people of Iraq.

The seminar was opened and included two papers : the first Imam Abdul Karim Zidane 's efforts in Islamic sciences and assets by the agricultural D.aasy Ahmed , and Tdmtne views of the deceased in various doctrinal issues and its importance in fact , such as women 's work, loans, investment and others.

As for the second research, he talked about the efforts of Imam Abd al-Karim Zaidan in legal politics and calamities , and how he recorded the merit in writing written fatwas related to the political work of Islamic parties and participation in the elections, as well as his views on the issue of (Shura ).

The door for interventions and questions was also opened for the honorable attendees, who interacted with the topic positively.

After that, Dr. Hussein Suhail read the results and recommendations of the seminar, which are:

First: Scientists have the right to inform, and we must inform the generations about them and their scientific and reform efforts.

Second: Imam Abd al-Karim Zeidan was an Islamic school from which Muslims of different ideological and sectarian orientations drew.

Third: The Imam d. Abd al-Karim Zidan took many issues of advocacy and jurisprudence from the scope of aggregation to the arena of creativity and its space, inspired by the spirit of originality and contemporary in his prolific scientific creative production.

Fourth: The Imam Al-Alamah was distinguished by his wonderful manner of writing, good classification and evaluation, and his commitment to academic method in all of his books, and he was distinguished by his superior ability to analyze, accurately understand and edit the place of disagreement accurately and honestly, while demonstrating his respect for the opinions of scholars who opposed him.

Fifthly: The imam distinguished himself in the hallmark of the divine scholars in asceticism, avoiding the media, and preferring to work silently away from the limelight, explaining this by saying: (This matter opens the door to fame and affliction, I pray to me in a good conclusion).

Sixth: We recommend the concerned authorities, especially the Iraqi Fiqh Academy, the Sunni Endowment Office, and the University of the Great Imam College, to take care and scientific care for our media scholars and take the initiative to honor them in their lives before their death.

Seventh: The efforts of the encyclopedic Imam Abd al-Karim Zidan are not surrounded by a scientific symposium despite its importance. Therefore, we recommend the concerned authorities to hold a large scientific conference to study the position of the Imam al-Alamah, his advocacy and scientific efforts and his jurisprudential preferences.

Eighth: We recommend universities and colleges concerned with Islamic sciences to direct graduate students to write about the scholarly efforts of this scholarly imam.
