Statement On The London (England) Conference For The Iraqi Opposition (2002)

At the end of 2002 AD, preparations began in London to hold a conference for the Iraqi opposition abroad, in which Iraqis of all sects, Muslims and non-Muslims, would participate to discuss the situation in Iraq at the time, and Sheikh Abd Al-Karim Zidan was presented at the time with a statement of the Sharia ruling in participating with non-Muslims in the agreements. And meetings. After its convening, and a statement of its truth, connections and objectives, Sheikh Abdel-Karim Zidan issued a statement about this conference and the decisions he issued.

The text of the statement

Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy and blessings be upon you:

We previously issued a fatwa prohibiting cooperation with the aggressive American infidels, as they are preparing to attack our Muslim country, Iraq. This fatwa went to prohibit the simple heart inclination for Americans to enter and occupy Iraq. This fatwa has won the consensus of scholars on its content, and it has become a Sharia duty to act upon it, because disobeying it is considered a violation of the consensus that was concluded on it even if it was a silent consensus.

We were horrified and saddened by the fact that a group of those claiming to represent the Sunnis and the community would participate in the follow-up committee emanating from the opposition conference that was held under the American tent, according to its planning. This group, with its disgraceful work, only represents itself and is not suitable for representing other Sunnis and the community, because with its participation in the follow-up committee of the American Opposition Conference, it lost its fairness and revealed its ignorance of the simplest meanings of Islam, which is the prohibition of assisting the infidel who declares that he wants to attack Iraq, the Muslim country. It is well-known that a person who lacks justice or is ignorant of the rulings of Islam is not suitable to be a leader, representative, representative, or guide to others. Based on the foregoing, every Muslim who has a relationship with this group or someone who supports it must deny it and dissolve from the association with it and follow it because this group by its disgraceful work has gone other than the way of the believers To refrain from helping the Americans through their conference called conference opposition, and not to do so and declares his innocence and those who supported it displays the same as stated in the verse

(وَمَن يُشَاقِقِ الرَّسُولَ مِن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ الْهُدَىٰ وَيَتَّبِعْ غَيْرَ سَبِيلِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ نُوَلِّهِ مَا تَوَلَّىٰ وَنُصْلِهِ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَسَاءَتْ مَصِيرًا)

(And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers - We will give him what he has taken and drive him into Hell, and evil it is as a destination).
